Name Dropping Bragging Rights!

Guess who Mrs. Berbeza met?  After school, on Monday, September 27, 2004, Mrs. Berbeza met
Jon Scieszka
and Lane Smith at a bookstore.  There were many other people there, but it was very memorable.  To find out more, check out the pictures below!

This is Lane Smith and Jon Scieszka.

Jon Scieszka is autographing his new book "Science Verse" for Mrs. Berbeza.

As you can see, Mrs. Berbeza is thrilled to death to be sandwiched between two of her favorite personalities from the book world!

When Lane Smith autographed the books, he was also adding more illustrations!

They began their presentation with "Math Curse."

In "Math Curse" EVERYTHING turns into a math problem.  It was a very challenging day.

That gave them the idea for their new book, "Science Verse."

Both books have the same characters and setting.  In this new book, there are many, many poems.

Delaware State Standards

The Library strongly supports the State of Delaware K-12 Content Standards.  All subject areas require information literacy skills.

Delaware State Standards

I follow a district-mandated curriculum that is aligned both with the Delaware State Content Standards and the National Information Power Standards from the American Association of School Librarians.
