The Dewey Decimal System is the way the books are organized in our library.  Most school libraries and smaller libraries use this method of arranging the books.  All of the books in the library EXCEPT the Fiction books and the E books have a number.  The numbers are broken down into 10 sections.  Each section is broken down into 10 more sub-sections.  There are 100 major sub-sections.

Just Dewey It!

This site has several fun videos that explain how the Dewey Decimal System works.  There are also games that allow a student to practice their skills.

"Do We" Really Know Dewey?

This is an informational site about the Dewey Decimal System created by students for the Think Quest Competition.

The Genre Game

If you like playing "Do You Want to Be a Millionaire" this is the game for you!  Can you identify the various genres in literature?  Play the game and see!
