Hello all!  After graduating from NHS, I attended Mary Washington College and graduated in 2002 with a double major in Geology and Historic Preservation.  I then took a tour of many careers, trying to find a good fit.  I spent some time as an archaeologist, a groundwater sampler, and a technical writer before I became a teacher.  I'm now in my third year of teaching Earth Science, and it's by far the best thing I've ever done.  I never thought I'd like being in front of a bunch of 14 year olds, but it's a surprisingly challenging and engaging experience.

After NHS, I spent 3 years at UofD, but not knowing what to do when I grow up makes that very difficult.  So I decided to take a semester off and went to Canton, OH to spent time with my parents who had just moved there.  While I was there I met many interesting people and when they moved to Omaha, NE 6 months later, I decided to stay.  I transferred to Kent State University as a nursing major, a year later I figured out that I really didn't want to be a nurse.  So I have spent the last several years doing odd jobs to see what is out there for me.  My favorite being a dog groomer!  In the summer of '06 I packed up everything including my boyfriend and moved back out here.  We are currently living in South Philly.  We got married in March '07 and had a baby named Nathan Dean Stansbury in April.  We also have 2 little dogs.  We love the east coast and will never go back!  Drop me a line if you get the chance!  P.S...he took my name if you were wondering.  (Posted:  July 2007)

Hoo boy, where to start?  I enlisted in the Army right out of high school, serving during Operation Desert Storm as a medic. I spent my time, however, in Europe until 1993. I took advantage of the time and used my leave to explore all the places I'd read about in Mr. Hill's History classes. It was here that I met the one love of my life, Michelle. Unfortunately, her dad got orders and they left for stateside. Little did I know where this little rabbit hole would lead me.

One year ago, I managed to reconnect (again) with Michelle and we both seemed ready for a relationship at this point. I welcomed her and her two children, John (age 15) and Angela (age 13) into the house that I just purchased in South Denver. I joke that it only took me 17 years to wear her down. Getting hold is not a bag thing.  In about 13 months I can retire from Uncle Sam and grow my hair long.  I spent the past year in beautiful Iraq.  It was a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and learn a new culture and see yet another part of the world.  As a First Sergeant, I was responsible for about 80 folks from all the services.  We had a multiforce unit that handled all the media both western and Arabic and over saw alkl, the high level Press conferences, embedding media in the field around the country, conducting Biometric credentialing.  Got to travel around the country some and boy driving over there was fun.  It was a great trip and one I recommend to all; at least once.

After graduating and getting my head adjusted correctly, I went back to school and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in film.  Worked in the movie business for a few years and decided I needed a real job, so I went back to school and got an education degree in Art Education.  I taught art in public schools for about 8 years, then Uncle Sam called and offered a great free trip.  I just finished my Masters in Education in Instructional Technology. 

I got married to a great, beautiful and educated southern woman and yes I did not have to get her drunk to say yes!  We have two daughters ages 10 (going on 20) and 14.  We live just south of Atlanta and are both teachers.  I work for a private school in Alabama, it is just across the line, as the technology directory for the school.  I also teach AP Art and Graphic Arts at the school.  Heading to Republic of Georgia this summer to help train their soldiers so they can participate a little more in Iraq.

After graduating NHS in 1988 I majored in commercial art and visual communications at University of Delaware.  I moved up to Philadelphia to work as a teacher in the Philadelphia Prison System, teaching inmates layout and desktop publishing skills they would need to work in the prison print plant.  This sparked an interest in law enforcement for me.  Today I draw a comic strip called Police Limit and still work as a designer and illustrator.  (Posted:  May 2009)

Busy life since graduation - I can't believe the number of years that have passed.  After Newark, I completed a BME from the University of Delaware, an MSME from Virginia Tech and after working a few years, an MBA from Cornell University.  I started my professional life with Corning Inc. in Wilmington, NC, first as a Development Engineer than as a Manufacturing Manager, finally receiving a promotion to a role of HQ in Corning, NY as a Strategic Planning Manager.  After B-school, I joined IBM as a management consultant and currently lead a team conducting a Lean Sigma transformation at a major semi-conductor fab manufacturer.  I also had the tremendous opportunity to serve as IBM's senior field consultant to FEMA's temporary housing contractor in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, with responsibility for advising on development of efficient operating procedures and processes (and finding lost applicants and trailers).  When I arrived, they were getting out 25 units a day; 6 weeks later, we were installing over 200.

Personally, I am a proud father of two daughters:  Katie (age 4) and Genevieve (age 1).  Also, I joined my college sailing team and have been an active sailboat racer since, racing regattas this year in FL, NC, MD, NJ and NY.  I just returned from 9 days sailing a 42-ft. catamaran in Croatia.  I may even move to either Annapolis or Tampa later year to get even closer to the water.  (Posted: August 2007)

Well, what can I say?  I have many fond memories of Newark High even though I pretty much kept to myself and didn't get involved too much (think that had a lot to do with my stuttering and thus lack of confidence).  Anyway, I so enjoyed filming the football games for the coaches.  Also loved being part of the TV studio in the school.

After high school I enrolled at the University of Delaware but dropped out after 3 years of struggles...school just wasn't for me back then.  After several years of working at the old Castle Mall Twin Cinemas as an assistant manager, I went to work at Delaware School for the Deaf where I met my wife, she was doing her student teaching there.  She is deaf herself.  I worked at DSD for 7 years and then moved onto Chrysler in Newark and worked the assembly line for about 6 years (I took about 2 and a half years off to move my family to Syracuse, NY so my wife could be closer to her family.  Things didn't work out up there...no work.  So we moved back to Delaware just recently even though our house in NY hasn't sold yet...it's been on the market for 2 years!!!)  I have since left Chrysler due to the announcement the plant will be closed in 2009 and have been Mr. Mom for the last year and a half and I love it!

But I digress...lol.  My wife, Candy, and I have two wonderful boys, Tyler (4) and Aaron (3).  They are both very skilled in sign language.  I have just started back to school and am working towards by BA in Psychology.  Will be about 40 a when I finish...how crazy is that???  To keep myself busy, I write a regular article for a sports website and have been for the last 5 or 6 years.

I got married in '81 and have two daughters that graduated from Newark.  My oldest will be getting married this year so we've been in the middle of wedding planning for a few months.

I live in the same house I grew up in which my Dad built the year I was born.  When he died in '92 my Mom didn't want to live alone so, since their house is bigger than where we were, we moved in with her.  We have since purchased the house from her.

The State of Delaware is where I've been employed for the last 15 years.  I am the computer Helpdesk manager and an information security officer for the Department of Health and Social Services.  It's a thankless job but heck, someone has to do it.

Well, NHS really planted the TV/Film bug for me and so now after a few detours on my road, I'm currently working as a Director/Producer/Editor for film and television.  Discovery Channel to Reality TV, I've pretty much done it all.  I'm also head of my own little production company out here in sunny Los Angeles, check out the web site www.tragoidia.com.  We are now shooting our third film and as it happens is being shot at Berkeley High School -- home of the Yellow Jackets.  I've won a few awards along the way and have seen a lot of the world and life just gets more exciting every day.

I moved to Texas in early 81 after having my daughter and getting married.  The marriage didn't last long but the move did.  I met my second husband in 85 and we've been together ever since.  We have 16 acres in Mississippi, in a little town just north of Hattiesburg.  Ya'll heard of Hattiesburg huh, that's where USM is.  Brett Favre...yea, yea.  Well my husband worked pipeline so we traveled every single year until he retired in 03/  I've always been a flea markets and garage sale nut so I've been collecting for a long time.  I have 2 booths in an antique mall.  I did have my own shop until Katrina came along.  I'm working on getting my shop back in operation again.  It's called Aunt Nora's Antiques and Collectables.  My daughter is 28 and has lived and worked (ironically) in NYC for the past 7 years.  I am laid back and outrageously content with my life.  I visit Newark once a year.  About the only person I really keep in touch with is Rose McCormick.  But I think about a lot of people.

Well, divorced again!  I can't seem to get that right.  Still in the Air Force currently with the New York Air National Guard out of Niagara Falls (29 years) living in Lockport, NY.  Have 3 kids, Brittany (21), Marina (13) and Benjamin (11).  Full time, I'm a contractor with the USAF.  In my worldly travels have been to Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Guam, Hawaii, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the Azores.  My off time is spent motorcycling when its warm.  Have an '02 Sportster and an '05 1100 Vstar.  And when it's snowing, which is a lot up here, I discovered skiing a couple years ago.  Life has decided to take a huge dump on me over the last few years, but I'm still alive and kicking and intend to do so for many years to come!!  (Updated: August 2009)

I'll try to e brief:  I still go by Wolf, and I am still married to my high school sweetheart, Patty Dawson; 25 years this year, and she looks better than ever.  We live in Middletown, with two great sons, Ross (20) and Kurt (19).  I still love fast cars, and my music of choice nowadays is country.  We've traveled the world several times over, and have no plans on slowing down now (or ever).  From the top of the Alps, to the middle of the rain forests to the bottom of the oceans.  We've been fortunate to see it all.  Many of our adventures involve the islands & SCUBA diving, we've been doing that for 18 years now and I've been teaching it as a hobby for 15 years.  If we aren't underwater, we're running around the country on the Harley, or partying somewhere like the Oktoberfest or Mardi-Gras.  (Did I mention we like to have fun?)  Summertimes you'll find us in Fenwick Island just about every weekend, and if we're not on the beach, we're probably bar hopping by boat.  I/We live life on the principle of the 6B's (buddies, beaches, bars, boats, bikes & back rubs).  If it doesn't fall into one of those categories I simply don't need it.  Actually there are a few more that I cannot mention here...Anyway, I'm still at the Chrysler plant in Newark and have 29 years there on 4/18/07.  Heck I only wanted to work there for the summer of '77 to pay off my Trans Am loan.  Well, two degrees later (Chrysler paid) and many promotions held (favorite in Graz Austria in '93, as plant QC manager for Eurostar) means I may retire soon and then my biggest concern will shift to "should I have iced tea or a beer with the fresh lobster I just caught" and where will I be tomorrow?  Take care and wish you all the best...Wolf  (Posted:  February 2006)

I live in Penn Acres in New Castle with my wife Kathy and three daughters.  Aimee' is 19 and a sophomore at Albright College in Reading, PA, where she is a singer in both Concert Choir and Chamber Choir.  Megan is 17 and a high school senior at Cab Calloway High School where she studies painting, sculpture and other visual arts.  Mariah is in 5th grade at Wilmington Manor Elementary and is working on her flute, swimming skills and horseback riding.  We also have two many critters in our house, with two dogs, three cats, some birds (their number varies often), and a couple fish. 

As for me, I've been with DuPont for 23 years at their Experimental Station site.  I finished my undergraduate work with a degree in Photograph from the University of Dayton, Ohio (1980).  I recently completed law school in the evening division at Widener University School of Law and passed the PA and NJ bar exams.  (The Delaware bar was much too hard for me!).

My wife Kathy is the office manager at Talleyville Veterinary Hospital on Concord Pike.  She has been in veterinary work for about 15 years.

Since graduating from NHS in 1972, I have been living in New York.  The first 18 years were spent in Syracuse, where I went to college and met my husband, Barry.  The past 14 years have been spent here in the Hudson Valley, about an hour from NYC.  We have two grown sons.  Pat is a chef who studied at the Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, New York.  He works not to far from us at a restaurant in Newburgh, NY.  Our younger son, Brian, is a graduate of SUNY Albany and is currently working as a systems administrator in the NYS Controllers Office in Albany and finishing up his Masters Degree in Information Services.  Barry is an officer with the Bank of New York where he works in Asset Recovery.  I worked as a registered nurse in Westchester Medical Center's PACU/Surgical ICU until I retired for health reasons several years ago.  Barry and I are very involved in Boy Scouting (both our boys are Eagle Scouts) and spend much of our free time geocaching and traveling.  I'm currently working on a second book and freelancing for several magazines.  I missed our class reunions -- hopefully we'll be at our next get-together.
