Students are referred to
Networks by an educational diagnostician, guidance counselor,
psychologist, administrator, vocational and/or special education
teacher at their secondary school. Representatives from the
sending school and the Networks program work together to develop an
educational/career plan for each student. This team approach
provides for ongoing communication between the school staff, the
student and parents/guardians. Students must be ages 16 to 21
and/or in grades 9-12 AND:
- Have a current
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a current 504
plan;
- Have an educational history
that warrants a non-traditional classroom setting
that provides academic instruction with a career
technical training program.
