Health
& Physical Education Sciences
The
philosophy of the Health & Physical Education
program is to provide students with the information
and skills essential to achieving healthy,
physically active lifestyles.
In physical
education, students have the opportunity to
participate in real and meaningful educational
experiences. Meeting and exceeding the Delaware
physical education standards promotes lifelong
physical activity that will carry over to workplace
productivity, increased fitness levels and improve
the overall wellness associated with the quality of
life. "Participation in quality physical education
programs results in learning real life skills that
translate into mental, physical, social and
spiritual well being." State of Delaware
Physical Education Curriculum Framework.
