This is Adam, from the Class of '82.  Sad to see the lack of response from our class here (and the school in general, really).  Makes me wonder how many people in Newark even know how to use the internet ;c)  Well, I've been out here in the L.A. area for over 15 years now, working in the film industry as a screenwriter and also doing computer tech support for Metropolitan Water District (the largest supplier of water in California).  I'm divorced (I'll probably be writing a horror movie based on that one) and re-married to a wonderful woman named Yvette.  I've only kept in touch with a couple of people from Glasgow - John Arehart (now a freelance graphic artist), John McCarty (now a reverent), and Tim Gruener (still a bloody genius, working for NASA).  Saw Rob Anderson when I was in Newark back in the early 90's, but no word from him since.  Lots of people still missing from Classes '81, '82 and '83 on Classmates.   (Posted:  September 2005)

I have spent the last several years volunteering for two school in Kent County, Delaware which service children whit disabilities. I have become proficient in the use of sign language and have become the master of augmentative communication devices (machines used to speak for those who are non verbal). In addition I have worked for a number of years with children on the PECS Communication System. This is mainly used with children who have Autism and associated disorders. Currently I am in training for certification as a transcriber from word to Braille.

We also have our own business, E-val. We are located in central Delaware and consult individuals or businesses who want to live by using less. Have a Bachelor of Arts dual degree from Immaculata University in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development.  I have been employed at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Wilmington, Delaware for 20 years.  Have three wonderful children ages 27, 26, and 10 and one son-in-law.  Give back to the community in charity work:  one of the founders of Jazz in the Garden benefiting the Ronald McDonald House and this year starting the first Dress to a Tea Fashion Show which benefits Dress for Success.  I was a class officer - Class Historian, so I am currently gathering as much information as possible for our reunion (TBD) - 30 years this year!!!

Hi Alum!  My husband (Mark Sillman, GHS grad, '76) and I recently built a new house in the quaint little town of Saxapahaw, in Central North Carolina.  I'm a Florist, while Mark stays busy with his job at UNC Chapel Hill.  We have two sons, US Navy Lieutenant Christopher, 28 and UNCG Art Major, Brian 21.

I was the faculty sponsor for the class of 1978.  I really didn't graduate then, but listing it that was is probably the only way I could get include in alumni news.  The class of '78 was one of my favorite classes and some of my all-time favorite students were in that class.  In my teaching career, I taught 11,756 kids, so I'm probably a bit weak remembering names!!

I retired in '91.  Have lived in MD, AZ, and now in WV.  We are now living in Asheville, NC, and enjoying a nice, mild winter.  Part of our choice for moving here is the Mission Hospital complex that specializes in heart patients.  I've been in the hospital 10 times in the last two and a half years, but seem to be doing much better now.  I tend to describe myself as something like a used car:  paint job pretty good, upholstery fine, but the engine misses, the rear end drags and there is definitely a need for new shocks!

Well, here I am...at the end of my military career.  I've decided to retire on 1 October 2005 after serving my country for the past 27 years.  Most of you might remember me at GHS by my stepfather's last name of Galindo.  I plan on working for the federal government for another 10 years, then retire from everything.  I also plan on moving to southern California next to the beach and feel the ocean spray and bask in the sun.  My children have all grown up and are doing great things for God and Country.  My wife, Vivian, (whom I have been married to for the past 2-1/2 decades), and I will finally be celebrating our first grandson on 1 July 2005.  It's been an amazing journey, and now I turn the page and start a new life as a civilian.  If you happen to look over the horizon on the evening of 27 June 2005 and see a bright glow of lights, fireworks, laughing and cheering, champagne glasses toasting, and American flags waving, it's most likely me and my friends celebrating my last working day in the Army.   (Posted: April 2005)
