Cool Tools
Textalyzer
Got a piece of text that you need to determine the reading level? Copy and paste in a piece of text, or give it a URL, and it will analyze the text for word count, readability, sentence count, average sentence length, most frequently used words, etc. A useful tool for teachers and for writers. It is available in French and English.
Google Language Translator
This tool will take text or web pages written in one language, and translate them into another. Type in a message and it translates it for you from English into Spanish, German, etc. Very helpful for those of us working with ESL families.
DOE's English Language Arts Assessments
Has anchor papers and writing prompts with a link to additional resources, including the Delaware Student Testing Program's Item Samplers.

DelaWISE Discovers MarcoPolo
