Our mission at Downes Elementary School, an innovative and nurturing community, is to empower and challenge our children to achieve academic excellence and become independent learners by developing their social/emotional, creative, physical, and intellectual talents.

The digital library provides valuable resources for all members of the school community, including staff, parents, and students. Our goal is to prepare our children for the future by providing them with skills to live in a society which relies heavily on technology.

We strive to integrate technology into all areas of the curriculum. We recognize its usefulness in differentiating instruction, as well as developing life-long learners.
