Equal Educational Opportunities
It is the policy of the Christina Board of
Education to operate and faithfully implement the
provisions of Title IX of the Education Amendments
of 1972. As such, the District shall provide
equal opportunities for students to participate in
educational and extracurricular programs and other
student services, irrespective of race, ethnic or
national origin, creed, sex or economic status.
Student Concerns,
Complaints, and Grievances
The Board of Education recognizes its
responsibility to keep and open means of
communication to hear those individuals - students,
non-students or adults - who wish to recommend
changes in established practices within the schools.
Such individuals are directed to use appropriate
administrative channels to voice their concerns.
School Bullying
Prevention
The District prohibits the bullying of any
person on school property, at school functions, by
use of data or computer software accessed through a
computer, computer system, computer network or other
electronic technology of the District from grades
kindergarten through grade twelve. The
District further prohibits reprisal, retaliation or
false accusation against a target, witness or one
with reliable information about an act of bullying.
