She holds an associate's degree in
accounting from Delaware Technical and
Community College, a bachelor's degree
in business administration from
Wilmington University, a master's degree
in community counseling from Wilmington
University, and a doctoral degree in
Educational Leadership and Policy from
the University of Delaware.
School Leaders are Approved for District's Partnership Zone Schools;
Search Reopened for Glasgow High School
Campus Principal
March 2011 - The
Christina School District Board of Education
has approved the appointment of three school
leaders who
will help reshape Glasgow High
School into three smaller Academies. Glasgow High School
was chosen as Partnership
Zone school by the Delaware Department of
Education on December 2.
The District is currently searching for a
candidate to fill the position of Campus
Principal of Glasgow High School. The
District named three Academy Leader
positions. The Academy Leaders will oversee
the academic and career readiness components
of each of the Academies.
Krystal
R. Greenfield
has been named the
Academy Leader for the Arts and
Humanities Academy. She has served as
assistant principal at Glasgow High
School since 2009, and prior to that
served for a total of six years as a
secondary guidance counselor at
Gauger-Cobbs Middle School and
Middletown High School. She also held
teaching and administrative positions at
St. Elizabeth High School and Delaware
Technical and Community College.
Darin
A. Knicely
has been named
the Academy Leader for the
Business and Entrepreneurship
Academy. He has served as a
special education teacher in
Virginia and South Carolina
since 2006, has been a grant
coordinator for the Hampton,
Virginia city schools, and a
graduate teaching assistant at
Old Dominion University in
Norfolk, Virginia, where he is
currently a Ph.D. candidate and
earned a masters degree in
educational leadership and K-12
administration and supervision.
He also directed his own
consulting company serving
exceptional children.
Dr.
Gina A. Moody
has been named
Academy Leader for the Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math
(STEM) Academy. Moody has served
as assistant principal at
Glasgow High School since 2006,
and was assistant principal at
Shue-Medill Middle School from
2004-2006. She served as
instructional coach in secondary
mathematics, and a mathematics
and science teacher at the
middle school level for the
Christina School District for a
total of six years, and prior to
that taught secondary
mathematics for five years in
the School District of
Philadelphia.

Approves
Reform Plans for
"Partnership Zone"
Schools
On January 7, 2011, after
nearly four months of planning,
community input, and deliberations,
State of Delaware
Secretary of Education Dr. Lillian M.
Lowery announced that the Delaware
Department of Education (DOE) had
approved ambitious plans to improve
Delaware's first four "Partnership Zone"
schools.
DOE approved reform
plans for Delaware's first four
Partnership Zone schools which includes
Glasgow High School. Glasgow's
reform plan is officially a
transformation model and reflects the
needs of the schools' individual
students, including targeted strategies
to improve student performance. In
the transformation model, schools make
significant changes to their governance
and operation.
