Making Real-Life Connections at Pulaski

Second grade students from Pulaski Elementary School enjoyed a visit from Officer Mousley and Quattro, one of the dogs from the New Castle County K-9 Unit.  The pupils read Officer Buckle and Gloria from the Houghton Mifflin Reading anthology, and were excited to meet a real-life team!  The students learned about some things that Officer Mousley and his partner, Quattro, do to keep us safe.  They also watched a demonstration of Quattro's search and retrieval skills.  Officer Mousley answered questions from students and teachers and listened to the details that students wrote about what they learned.  Thanks to the New Castle County Police Department for helping to coordinate this visit.  Everyone had a great experience!
