Kirk Middle School Students Wins InvestWrite Competition

Taylor Smoot, an 8th grader at Kirk Middle School was recently selected as the winner of the InvestWrite competition in the 6-8 grade division for Delaware.  Taylor is a student in Ms. Morris’s  Exp. Business Level II class where they participated in the fall 2009 Stock Market game.  At the conclusion of the game, students in the class were asked to write essays describing their experiences during the game and what they learned about saving and investing.  Taylor’s essay was selected among many other essays as the winner in her division.

Taylor, two guests of her choice and Ms. Morris attended the Stock Market game awards reception on January 21, with other winners from the Stock market game.
