Students at Wilson Elementary School have focused this month on ways they can help others and give back to the community.  Students participated in the District's annual campaign for United Way, raising a total of $464.06.  Student donors had their pictures taken with a giant check if they donated $5 or more, and their pictures were posted in the school hallways.  Wilson students alsoWilson Elementary School students holding the oversized check to United Way of Delaware donated a significant amount of food for the community during a recent food drive sponsored by the school.

"We thought it was awesome that our students were giving back to the community and learning about civic responsibility," said Wilson Principal Helen Spacht.
