Marching Band is a unique blend of physical and mental conditioning, teamwork, musicality, and showmanship that gives many students an opportunity to interact with their peers in a cooperative yet competitive environment.  The Dragon Marching band is a corps-style marching unit consisting of about 50 woodwind, brass, percussion, and visual performers.  The group performs at all varsity football games, many community events, and school functions, and also participates in a number of field competitions each fall.

Since 1999, the Dragon Band has gained a reputation for its enthusiastic support of the football program, and has continued to grow in size and performance excellence on the field.  The group rehearses once a week in July, and starts an intense daily pre-season schedule before school begins in mid-August.  Once school starts, the band rehearses twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Marching Band is a first semester class open to any student at Glasgow High School who has previous musical experience and is able to fulfill the significant time commitment.
