Early Childhood Programs

Preschool
The Christina School District provides several opportunities for parents to enroll young children in preschool and early education programs.

Child Find Evaluation Services
Before children even start school, Child Find services are conducted to determine students' needs for services before they enter Kindergarten.  Child Find is a federally funded program in the State of Delaware which locates, identifies and provides educational services to eligible persons from three years of age through the age of twenty-one.  Child Find screeners conduct a rapid assessment of preschool children from the age of three to six years throughout the Christina School District.

Parents As Teachers/Parent Early Education
For first-time parents we offer the Parents As Teachers (PAT) program, part of the Parent Early Education Center (PEEC).  PAT provides parents with information about their child’s development and activities that will build language, thinking, social and motor skills.
