Facts About School Choice:
  • School Choice application for the 2012-2013 school year will be accepted November 1, 2011 through January 11, 2012.
  • PLEASE NOTE:  If your child is not already attending a public school, please register your child in your feeder pattern school before submitting a choice application.

  • COMPLETED APPLICATIONS must be mailed, faxed or hand delivered to the District

    • Mail completed applications to:

    • Fax completed applications to:  302-429-4138.
    • Schools will not accept applications.  All applications must be mailed, faxed or hand delivered to the address and fax number listed above.
  • A separate application must be completed for each child.
  • The choice application is limited to three choice schools.  Please list the school names in priority order.
  • A separate application for each district is required if you are submitting choice applications to more than one district.

School Feeder Patterns:
Montessori Programs
Christina will offer the first public Montessori Program beginning in August 2012
  • PRESCHOOL PROGRAM FOR AGES 3-4
    Separate applications for the preschool program for 3-4 year olds will be available on April 1, 2012.  The program will be held in Wilmington at the Elementary Workshop located at 502 N. Pine Street, and in Newark at Brookside Elementary School located at 800 Marrows Road.
  • KINDERGARTEN - GRADE 5
    Parents applying for admission to the Montessori Program for grades K-5 will need to complete a 2012-2013 State School Choice application (see below links.)  The program will be held at the Elementary Workshop located at 502 N. Pine Street in Wilmington, but is affiliated with Bancroft Elementary School in Wilmington.  Please list "Bancroft Elementary School" as the School you are applying for and indicate "Montessori" as the Desired Program.
