Groves In-School Program

The Groves In-School Program serves students now attending a day high school who need to catch up on credits needed to graduate.  To be eligible for this program, a student must:

• Be at least 16 years of age;

• Be taking at least one credit in the home school;

• Have obtained a minimum of 10 high school credits;

• Be referred by the home school counselor.

First point of contact for Integrated Students is with the home school counselor.

To enroll, the student must present:

• A referral form signed by the home school counselor and parents;

• A copy of the high school transcript to date;

• A copy of the student's current schedule, and;

• 10th Grade DSTP (Delaware Student Testing Program) Scores

Priority will be given to seniors and juniors.  Others will be admitted as space permits.

The In-School student must take the same intake assessment as other Groves students and must have the same qualifying scores to be admitted to the Groves credit classes.  Each class will meet two times a week for a total of 30 session in the semester.  The student must attend at least 25 of these sessions to qualify for credit.  Excessive absences result in removal from the program.

More than 100 students were enrolled last year.
